Out for a few hours in the Land's End area today and had some nice birds.
Seal Rocks: at least 8 BLACK TURNSTONES and 3 SURFBIRDS. Two PARASITIC JAEGERS harassing about 20 ELEGANT TERNS, another Jaeger, possible juvenile Long-tailed Jaeger. At least one CASPIAN TERN.
Land's End Trail along El Camino Del Mar was very active with at least one TOWNSEND'S WARBLER in with a large group of treetop feeders. Many, many juvenile White-crowned and Song Sparrows.
Sutro Height's: Ran into a mixed migrant flock which included a couple of young WILSON'S WARBLERS, one ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER and two Hatch Year LAZULI BUNTINGS who were uncharacteristically stoic, resting on some vines. Bothe VIOLET-GREEN and TREE SWALLOWS were bounding about.
