PI Birders,

From the lot one platform this morning:

Black Scoter — flock of 20 migrating by.
Great Shearwater — 6+ — far out, lots of back and forth, could have been a lot more.
shearwater species — 1 large, possible Cory’s (only identifiable birds were Greats, but this one had strong brown coloration and broader wings).
Wilson’s Storm-Petrel — 1
Lesser Black-backed Gull — 1 adult on beach

Confusing things out there, beyond a wet scope and wooden platform bucking in the wind:

Northern Gannet — 40+ including many dark juveniles shearing in the high winds.
Tree Swallows — many tree swallows over the ocean at great distances, as far as the shearwaters and storm-petrel.
