Upland Sandpiper - 1
Marbled Godwit - 1
Stilt Sandpiper - 548
Baird's Sandpiper - 5
Least Sandpiper - 2,460
Buff-breasted Sandpiper - 2
Pectoral Sandpiper - 9
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 4
Long-billed Dowitcher - 149
dowitcher, sp. - 15
Spotted Sandpiper - 3
Greater Yellowlegs - 28
Lesser Yellowlegs - 89
yellowlegs, sp. - 84
Wilson's Phalarope - 20
peep, sp. - 1,145

BIRDS = 5,332

This total is pretty good for the latter half of August. The Buff-breasted Sandpipers were at the very south end of Little Salt Marsh (west of the photo blind). Also significant were the increased numbers of ducks, to around 3,500 or so. Reddish Egret still in the wetland at the very southwest corner of the interior Wildlife Drive.
