Subject: [ia-bird] Dallas & Lucas County birds
On the way to a Lucas Co. Birding Festival planning meeting at Chariton
today I saw the following species (plus lots of other more common ones)

- 2 *Cattle Egrets* (FOY)--1 mi. N. of the IA Hwy 44/US 169 jct. in
Dallas County
- ~30 *Smith's Longspurs *(FOY)--flying across Hwy 34 about on the
Clark/Lucas County line
- Several *Red-headed Woodpeckers* in Chariton and at Red Haw State Park
