Today we noodled around WENDELL and found (partial list):

Great Blue Heron (1 nest-building); Turkey Vulture (11); Canada Goose (8: 4
pairs); Wood Duck (7); Mallard (2); Hooded Merganser (4); Bald Eagle (1imm
chased heron off nest); Red-tailed Hawk (1); Ruffed Grouse (1 drumming);
Wild Turkey (7); Belted Kingfisher (1); Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (11); Downy
Woodpecker (3); Hairy Woodpecker (2); N Flicker (13); Pileated Woodpecker
(2).

E Phoebe (5); Blue-headed Vireo (3: plus another 3 in Erving SF); Common
Raven (2); Brown Creeper (6); Winter Wren (1); Ruby-crowned Kinglet (9); E
bluebird (3); Hermit Thrush (12).

WARBLERS: Yellow (1); Yellow-rumped (11); Pine (26); Palm (5).

Eastern Towhee (23); Chipping Sparrow (27); Field Sparrow (8); Song Sparrow
(22); White-throated Sparrow (3); Dark-eyed Junco (30); Purple Finch (6).

PLUS: LOTS of amphibian egg masses and herps included E Painted Turtles
(many); Spring Peepers (MANY); Green Frogs; Wood Frogs; Red-spotted Newts.
Our first dragonfly of the year (Green Darner ovipositing); but only 1
butterfly Spring Azure.
