Subject: [IN-BIRD-L] Broad-winged Hawk, Bicentennial Nature Park, Apr 15, 2017
The Sycamore Audubon Society had a field trip this morning to a new public area in Tippecanoe County. Called the Bicentennial Nature Area, the area is north of Sagamore Parkway and east of the Wabash River. It has several large barrow pit ponds, swamps and some open fields. The area has lots of potential. Today we had over 40 species in two hours, including my first Broad-winged Hawks of the spring.
