Visitors:
Lots of help in the morning, but only three of us in the PM on the return
to the watch. Spotters and observers included Ken Felix, Roger Donn, Russ
States, Sam Stull, Jennifer, Andrea, and Katie Andersen. Visitors included
Bonnie Ginader, Joao Taveres, Ruth Swaney and Carol Allen.

Weather:
A warm start with SW wind and mostly clear sky then becoming cloudy and
cold with a wind shift to the NW and rain. Partial clearing with a wind
shift back to the SW after 1315 hrs. and much warmer temps.

Raptor Observations:
A very disappointing start to the day with and few birds then the rain came
and the temp. dropped about 10 degrees with NW wind. It began to clear in
the afternoon with another slow start until about the 1500 hr. then the
skies opened up with birds with a nice early flight of Broad-winged Hawks
and Turkey Vultures and decent number of other raptors. The flight lasted
until about 1615 then it shut down again.

Non-raptor Observations:
Common Loon--12, Double-crested Cormorant--60, Great Blue Heron--1, Eastern
Bluebird--1, American Robin--20, Barn Swallow--2, Northern Flicker--18,
Eastern Meadowlark--3, American Goldfinch--1, Pine Siskin--9, Red
Admiral--62+, Common Green Darner--2

Predictions:
If the rain holds off in the AM there could be a continuation of the flight
we had later today. SW wind and warm temps. in the AM then rain and falling
temps. predicted for the PM.
