Weather: Partly cloudy; 66-85 degrees; fair visibility with some haze; winds started out from the southwest and ended from the west, 5-12 mph

Raptor Observations: Another Bald Eagle-Osprey skirmish in which the eagle convinced the Osprey to drop its fish in the water, but then didn't go after the fish. Perhaps the eagle was just being a bully.

Non-raptor Observations: 43 American Goldfinches, with 30 in one flock; 13 Common Loons; a female Black Swallowtail Butterfly laying eggs.

Site Description
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at the
mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best winds are
from the southwest.
