Weather: Warm with very strong wind 15-42 mph. The wind direction varied from SW to NW, with the strongest gusts out of the NW and WNW. Temperature reached 21.9 and the skies were mostly to completely cloudy.
Raptor Observations: All the raptors were extremely high with the exception of the Northern Harrier and the last Broad-winged Hawk. The only Eagle was very high. A little before 1:00, a Golden Eagle was observed flying South. Shortly thereafter a stream of Turkey Vultures, Black Vultures, Broadwings, and a Sharp-shinned all flew north followed by what we assumed was the same Golden. No markings were visible on the Eagle due to the extreme height. Two local Red-tailed Hawks hunted in the valley earlier in the day.
Predictions: Partly to mostly cloudy with moderate (9-15 mph) WSW wind. A high of 20 C is expected. Thunderstorms expected after 5:00. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Deb Bodenschatz (<debbiebodenschatz...>)
