Subject: Kestrels in Stone Valley (Hunt Co.)
On Sat (4/1) - I drove 32 miles of roads in Stone Valley, around Saulsburg/Mooresville/Cottage. About 2 hrs.

In that distance, I found 16 Kestrels. At least 6, maybe 8 were in obvious pairs (i.e. 3 or 4 pairs) presumably on territory. Some I suspect were migrants moving through.

The eagle was sitting on the nest still at McMahon Rd, as previously reported here.
