Subject: [CT Birds] Groton Rough-legged Hawk continues, other birds
This afternoon circling high above Groton New London Airport as viewed from Bluff Point, one continuing dark phase Rough-legged Hawk. Also at Bluff Point:

4 Green winged Teal, seemed notable for this location

2 American Wigeon, also notable

2 Fox Sparrows

1 Yellow bellied Sapsucker

55! Cedar Waxwings

At other locations in the area:

2 Northern Shovelers, south section of Palmer Cove in Groton. Maybe the same pair from the Mystic River, or maybe a different one

8 Ruddy Turnstones, 6 Black bellied Plovers, 1 Dunlin, Mumford Cove in Groton

1 American Woodcock, Rocky Neck SP in East Lyme

Good birding,

Dylan Pedro
