The Island Refuges
The next meeting of the Horicon Marsh Bird Club will be held on Thursday March 16th, at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center. Featured speaker will be Sadie O'Dell.
Sadie is a wildlife biologist with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. She will present an overview on the Green Bay and Gravel Island National Wildlife Refuges.

O’Dell will discuss the birds and other wildlife found during survey efforts, past research projects, habitat management, and public use opportunities. She will also provide information on what is planned for the coming year and how people can get involved.
Sadie is the lead biologist for Horicon National Wildlife Refuge Complex which includes Horicon, Fox River, Green Bay and Gravel Island National Wildlife Refuge's and the Leopold Wetland Management District. She has been a biologist with the USFWS and stationed at Horicon for 11 years.
