There was a nice variety of waterfowl at McGinnis Slough this morning:
11 BUFFLEHEAD, 6 CANVASBACK, AM COOT, 2 AM BLACK DUCK, RING-NECKED DUCK, 2 RUDDY DUCK, GADWALL, CANADA GOOSE, 2 HORNED GREBE, 1 PIED BILLED GREBE, MALLARD, COMMON MERGANSER, 4 HOODED MERGANSER, REDHEAD, (G SCAUP? - TOO FAR TO TELL), LESSER SCAUP, & N SHOVELER. There were also SANDHILL CRANES & KILLDEER going over.
Little Red Schoolhouse still has 1 PURPLE FINCH, TUFTED TITMOUSE & 1 RED HEADED WOODPECKER near the feeders. Several BALD EAGLE flying over the area.
