I drove out to the Newell Street John Deere pond around 4:30 this afternoon
and wasn't able to relocate the female type Black Scoter after a solid
thirty minutes of scanning the pond with my camera. 50 or so Ring-necked
Ducks were seen on the pond as well as a lone male Canvasback.
