Subject: Common Grackles -- Squaw Valley Woodlands, Allegheny Township, Butler County -- Feb 26, 2017
The Grackles have arrived. And the Red-shouldered Hawk was being mobbed by a bunch of Blue Jays. Eastern Bluebirds and Robins were perched atop red clusters of sumac berries, and an early Pied-billed Grebe dove in the midst of snow flurries, while a brilliant Pileated Woodpecker stalked the tree trunks.

Good birding,
Dan Weeks, Allegheny Township, Butler County.
