We’ve recently had 2 nice surprises.
For the last 2days, we’ve had an immature male Summer Tanager regularly visit the grape jelly feeder. This is a 1st for us. Over the last 14 years, I think we’ve seen 2, but they were just passing through, high up in the trees, and didn’t visit the feeders. This one stayed for 2 days and regularly fed at the feeders. We haven’t seen it today, so maybe its moved on.
This morning, we had a male Indigo Bunting spend time in the yard - feeding on river birch seed heads, then under the bird feeders and 2xs came up around the patio, less than 10 ft away. I believe we have 2 pairs nesting in very different parts in and around the yard, but they rarely visit the immediate yard or the feeders.
Photos of both visitors can be viewed at:

We’ve had very few warblers this spring and our Haikubox has only picked up a couple.
Gorgeous moring today, sunny and no wind!
