The male Summer Tanager at Hale Park was still present this morning. Along with birders Lori and Rick, I heard it calling almost continually from the line of eucalyptus trees on the north side of the Park before Rick finally spotted it for us in one of the trees. A stunning male bird, gorgeous red even in semi-shade. This park looks like it's worth visiting regularly. Interesting habitat.
