This morning a Tennessee warbler spent a good deal of time in my backyard visiting the water feature and feeding on the Cape honeysuckle. A small warbler with lime green back, light gray breast belly and undertail coverts, a subtle white line above the eye and a relatively short tail. Tied with Nashville warbler so far for best fall migrant yard bird of this season !
In addition, a Lincoln’s sparrow also made a brief visit to the water feature for a morning bath.
