With the blustery winds and snow/rain today I was astonished to see at least four flocks of snow geese come over, something I rarely see here. I likely missed at least one other flock as well, but my best estimate for the four is a total of 200, the last flock just came over about 10 minutes ago and included a decent number of blue phase. I know it's not exciting for many but for me out west here it is quite a sight !
Also on Wednesday last week, three evening grosbeaks showed up at one of our local birder's feeders outside of Strattanville, where they visited before several years ago. They have not been seen since though.
