Weather: Mostly cloudy with light to moderate northeasterly winds. A few sprinkles in the mid-afternoon and some periods with the sun out. A bit chilly, but comfortable with a few jackets on.
Raptor Observations: Steady migration until things slowed down in the last hour. Group of Turkey Vultures were moving in the morning with just over 200 total and the largest group was 40+. Fewer Bald Eagles than most recent days with only six migrating. A decent flight of harriers (7) and moderate flight of Accips (24 sharpies, 11 Coops). Fourteen each for red-tail and red-shoulder. A merlin was the only falcon.
Non-raptor Observations: 100 Canada Geese, 14 Wood Ducks, Common Loon, Common Raven, EVENING GROSBEAK, 40+ Purple Finches, no monarchs. https://ebird.org/checklist/S281956158

Predictions: Tomorrow: Showers and thunderstorms. Storms may contain strong gusty winds. High near 65F. Winds ESE at 15-25mph. Chance of rain 90%. 1 to 2 inches of rain expected. Count will likely be canceled.
Friday: Partly cloudy. Gusty winds in the afternoon. High 58F. Winds W at 20-30mph. Higher gusts possible. Winds may be too strong for a big flight. Maybe some eagles will brave the winds. Expect light to moderate migration.
Saturday: Generally sunny with a few afternoon clouds. High near 60F. Winds WNW at 10-20mph.
