Visitors:
10, plus around 40 from two school groups doing a birding activity.


Weather:
Sunny to start with a thin layer of clouds moving in from the south then
thickening to overcast in the afternoon. Moderate northeast winds. Chilly.

Raptor Observations:
A moderate Turkey Vulture flight with just over a hundred. 11 migrating
Bald Eagles plus some nice looks at some chasing each other around. A group
of five adult Bald Eagles was seen at one point. Four harriers and moderate
Accip migration (21 sharpies, 7 Coops). Moderate Buteo migration with 29
red-shoulders and 13 red-tails. The only falcon was a kestrel. The flight
was a mix of low and high altitude migrants.

Non-raptor Observations:
300 Canada Geese, 150 Double-crested Cormorants, Fish Crow, Common Raven,
20 Purple Finches, 4 Eastern Meadowlarks, Rusty Blackbird, 1 monarch.

New species for season: Eastern Meadowlark

Predictions:
Tomorrow: Overcast. High 59F. Winds NE at 10-15mph. Decent wind. The cloudy
skies may hold back the migration a bit but will make spotting easier.
Expect moderate migration.

Thursday: Showers and thunderstorms. Potential for heavy rainfall. High
near 65F. Winds ESE at 15-25ph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall possibly over
one inch. Count will likely be shortened or canceled.

Friday: Partly cloudy. High near 61F. Winds W at 15-25mph. Higher gusts
possible. Expect moderate migration.
