Weather: Switching between partly and mostly cloudy. Light and variable winds, mostly northerly. Comfortable temps.
Raptor Observations: Another good Turkey Vulture flight with 143 including a group of 30+. A lot of Bald Eagle activity with 13 migrating. Four harriers including two adult males. Steady Accip flight with 36 sharpies and 23 Coops. Good Buteo numbers with 32 red-shoulders and 10 red-tails including a 'northern'. Two kestrels and a Merlin.
The flight was very high with most migrants found by scanning clouds overhead.
Non-raptor Observations: 60 Canada Geese, 8 American Herring Gulls, 3 Common Loons, Common Raven, Hermit Thrush, 50+ Purple Finches, Pine Siskin, Nashville Warbler, no monarchs. https://ebird.org/checklist/S281535959
Predictions: Tomorrow: Mainly sunny. High around 60F. Winds NE at 5-10mph. Expect moderate migration but tough spotting if there aren't many clouds.
