Weather: Cloudy, light rain showers, wind NNW to 30 mph, waves 4’ to 5’, temp. 42Comments:Even though the wind direction was right, the high velocity doesn’t always bodewell for waterfowl movement. Thismorning was an example of that with low numbers of birds moving, all of whichwere flying west. However, there was adecent flight of Common Loons flying high overhead in small groups. Morning highlight was a female Harlequin Duckflying west just outside the breakwaters near a small group of westbound Red-breastedMergansers at 0800 hrs. Roger Donn assistedfor a short period.
