There was a 1st winter Bonaparte's Gull flying above the first big pond closest to the parking lot at Los Gatos Creek County Park this morning. I don't think I've ever seen a Bonaparte's Gull at this location before. There weren't a lot of gulls, but there was a decent variety: 1 Ring-billed Gull, 1 Short-billed Gull, several American Herring Gulls, a single Glaucous-winged Gull, a few Iceland (Thayer's) Gulls, and lots of California Gulls.
Near the Oka Ponds entrance, I found 2 very camouflaged Wilson's Snipe on the island, a male and female wood duck, and also many Ring-necked Ducks and Buffleheads.
