Hello Bird Club!
This month, on Wednesday, November 20th at 7pm at Millbrook Marsh, Steven Feldstein will be presenting a program titled My six months birding in Korea: Eastern Palearctic ornithology, common and rare birds, and the thriving Korean birding community.
Steven Feldstein is an emeritus professor of atmospheric science at the Pennsylvania State University. He retired in January 2023. His area of research has been in large-scale atmospheric dynamics. Most of his birding has been in the Nearctic, and he has enjoyed many birding trips to the Palearctic, especially Israel and Korea. His research plans in retirement will be on the impact of the weather on bird migration.

Prior to the meeting, the Bird Club will be treating Steven to dinner at Happy Valley Brewing Company at 5:30 p.m. If you are interested in joining us and getting to chat with Steven, please email me individually, outside of the listserv by Sunday, November 17th. It is important to note that the Bird Club will be covering only Steven’s dinner—you would be responsible for covering the cost of your own dinner.
We will also have a zoom option available for folks who can't attend in person. As always, a quick and free registration is required to attend via Zoom. The link to register is https://psu.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJAqcu-prTwuGNauTj5vVIYSMD1n49HfQNXt
Look forward to seeing you there. Happy Birding!
