Subject: [pen-bird] Townsend's Solitaire, White-fronted Geese, Harlequin Duck
Yesterday morning showing no fog at the Skylawn Memorial Park, I decided to do a skywatch checking for any migrants. There were migrants, but lower numbers than my expectations. There were Pine Siskins, Lesser,Goldfinches, and a low number of  American Robins and Varied Thrushes. With a change in the weather, there should be an increase in the number of American Robins and Varied Thrushes. The highlight was a Townsend's Solitaire close in with American Robins moving south. The adult Golden Eagle was seen overScarper Peak.
This morning at Coyote Point County Park, the male Harlequin Duck was in with a large raft of Surf Scotersbeyond the concrete slabs. At Sea Cloud Park in Foster City, there were ( 5 ) Greater White-fronted Geesein with Canada Geese. The flock was flushed a number of times from dogs on the field.
