Fogged in for the morning. Fog began to thin by 11, then cleared by 2, but
low valleys remained foggy and a thick haze enveloped the west.
Light SW winds 10-12 C (50-54 F)

Raptor Observations:
Only one sneaky migrant

Non-raptor Observations:
The usual suspects at the hawkwatch and a snow bunting spotted by the
summit.

Predictions:
Halloween! Remember to wear a costume because you know Caroline will be in
one! Partly cloudy with WSW winds and warm temps.

On this day in Pack history...
"2011: The day after a historic blizzard that left 1-2 feet of snow in the
region, Official counter Ken Klapper, Julie Brown, Phil Brown, and Katrina
Fenton hiked the mountain for the last official day of the season, catching
a nice flight of 44 Red-tailed Hawks. The snow at the top of the mountain
was level with the top of the picnic tables."
